About Us

Komal’s sweets has been formed only by the support of certain persons and love from many people.

It all started around 1919 when Shri Shivanna Shet developed a passion for food in Mangalore and started making South Indian sweets with a beautiful yet unique change in the recipe. He started small by selling sweets in local fairs and outside movie theatres in just a bicycle.

Shri B. Vitobha Nagvekar, son of Shri Shivanna Shet made it more prominent by establishing our first outlet in an area called Carstreet in Mangalore. He was a great visionary who introduced modern concepts for retail counters in.

Mangalore and took it to the next Level in 1970 and 1971. Later diversified in Pharma and Restaurants. He introduced Buffet catering for the first time in the South Canara region.

Today, the sweets is run by Mr. B. Ganesh Nagvekar one of the two sons of Shri B. Vitobha Nagvekar. We continue to keep the same taste of the traditional South Canara delicacies with Quality Pure Ghee Preparations and hospitality.

We aim to maintain the unique taste and create new delicacies.
